As a Power BI Developer at Groupe Touchette, you will play a pivotal role in our analytics transformation journey. This role is designed for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making.

You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand business processes, data requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Your role will involve creating and maintaining reports, implementing best practices in data visualization, and ensuring the seamless integration of data from our data warehouse. By leveraging your expertise, you will help uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic goals and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards that meet business needs and enhance data and performance visibility.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing reports and dashboards to improve performance and usability.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their data requirements, gather insights, and translate them into actionable reports and visualizations.
• Develop and share best practices for data visualization and report development to ensure consistency and high-quality deliverables across the organization.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by integrating data from various sources, including the data warehouse.
• Stay current with Power BI features, updates, and industry trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities and methodologies.
• Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding of Power BI and its functionalities.
• Document processes, report specifications, and data models to maintain clarity and facilitate knowledge transfer and change management processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of developed reports and dashboards.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Deep understanding of SQL and MS SQL Server
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Python for advanced data manipulation and analysis.

Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.

Knowledge of SAP HANA, CDS View and Business Objects
